Hellraid DLC - content and how to start

Modified on Thu, 28 Mar at 3:44 PM

Please note that Dying Light: Hellraid is NOT part of the Season Pass or the Enhanced Edition and requires the original Dying Light game to run (it is not a standalone DLC).

No one knows where the strange arcade machine came from. One day the residents of the Tower just found it in the basement after an odd power outage. They took it upstairs unaware of what they had come across.

HOW TO START THE DLC?:

Hellraid does not appear as an option in the menus, while the ad in the main menu will always have the same buttons available, including the purchase option. Don't worry about it.

To start the DLC, you need to finish the Prologue of the main Campaign (including a quest called Sleep through the Night). Having done that, go to the Tower and find a unique Arcade Machine. Interact with it and you will be teleported to the new DLC map.

Open up your Quests menu and select the Hellraid quest to track. It should now be marked on your minimap. The machine is upstairs.

Shake up your Dying Light experience with the this paid DLC introducing a new game mode based on Techland’s unreleased first-person fantasy slasher, Hellraid. Explore a new dungeon area, arm yourself with brand-new weapons, and face vicious enemies straight from the depths of Hell. Tackle this fresh challenge alone or join forces with your friends for a thrilling co-op.

To keep the hellish setting consistent, we’ve populated the stronghold with completely new demonic enemies and designed an array of fitting fantasy weapons to slay them with. Hellraid comes with its own progression system and you’ll have to improve your rank to unlock new swords, hammers, and axes. These are more than just pieces of equipment – they’re trophies. Each run through the dungeon will reward you with coins that you can spend to proudly wield Hellraid weapons in Harran. Every time you revisit the fortress, you’ll have a choice to increase the prize by picking up bounties. Whether you choose to test your skills alone or in co-op (up to 4 people), you’ll face a considerable challenge.
